Although he didn’t say it outright, the feeling is, former five-weight divisional champion Floyd Weather’s landmark 50th fight won’t be happening anytime soon, unless of course, a certain charismatic Irishman by the name of Conor McGregor is standing across the ring laced up in 8 oz. boxing gloves.
“Money” who turns 40 in February, and holds an unblemished 49-0 ledger, believes from a business and financial perspective, that’s the only fight to make – fighting anyone else is out of the question.
Here “Money” shares his thoughts on that potential money-spinning mega blockbuster pugilistic match-up:

“The best thing to do is to look up how much money Conor McGregor has made, then look up how much money Floyd Mayweather has made. Then you can make the fight happen.”
“I’m a businessman, when it’s all said and done. Absolutely.”
“That’s all about entertainment right there. That’s something the people want to see. I know we can do some crazy numbers if we can make that fight happen.”
“No. I’m away from boxing now. I don’t really know how to put it. If it’s Conor McGregor, it makes sense to me. If it’s anybody else, it don’t make sense, not to me.”
Though, before “The Notorious” (who boxed as an amateur), can make the transition to pro boxing, he would either have to see out, or terminate his existing contract with the Las Vegas-based promotion, that, or retire from the sport altogether before this fight even takes off the ground.
MMA superstar and incumbent UFC lightweight titleholder McGregor, made history at UFC 205 by becoming the first fighter to simultaneously hold belts in two division’.
So, it’s looks like a sure-fire bet that the next time Mayweather graces us with his fistic presence in a four-squared ring, it will be against the voluble and swaggering McGregor.
