You knew it wasn’t gonna take long before MMA’s most magniloquent personality, Conor McGregor responded to the condescending remarks made by award-winning actress, and thespian personified Meryl Streep.

Taking to Instagram, “Mystic Mac,” in his own inimitable and jokey way, went straight for the proverbial jugular – an animated reworked re-enactment of his bottle/can-throwing incident at the UFC 202 press junket. Only this time, it’s Streep who gets it – straight in the kisser.

The near 90-second segment also features perennial action hero Sylvester Stallone, who reprises his role as “Rambo.”

Color commentator Joe Rogan, Ronda Rousey’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan, and UFC President Dana White make guest appearances, with the latter meeting a grisly end.

At the 74th Golden Globe Awards, Streep took her acceptance speech to a whole new level. First lambasting U.S president-elect Donald Trump, and then questioning the validity of the “arts” in mixed martial arts:

“So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners,” said Streep, who was accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award. “And if we kick them all out you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.”

The 67-year-old New Jersey native’s disparaging comments towards the sport didn’t sit well with a lot of the MMA contingent (fans and athletes alike) who readily voiced their displeasure via various social media platforms.

At present, McGregor is taking a sabbatical from the sport. As of yet, there’s no word of when the Irishman will return to the eight-walled caged.

However, when he does, it’s mostly likely he’ll be defending his lightweight title against the winner of the Khabib Nurmahomedov vs. Tony Ferguson match-up scheduled for UFC 209.
