This past weekend the Irish had a chance to fine tune their offense and also get their defense some much needed game experience. So what will we see Saturday against Michigan State? Well look for Kizer and the Irish offense to pick apart the Sparty D. Kizer will have time in the pocket because of the Notre Dame backs and also his ability to run the ball. The Irish receiving crew may not have a lot of experience but they have came up big so far this year especially Equanimeous St. Brown and CJ Sanders. Torii Hunter Jr should be able to return which give the Michigan State defense yet another receiver to focus on which should open up some holes for the running attack. Josh Adams is a big game player and will step up big for the Irish in this battle.
As for the Irish defense. While still relatively inexperienced they made great strides to improve their tackling against Nevada. I know Nevada is no where near the team Michigan State is but I think that will give them some confidence going into this game. The Irish have showed they never give up and I think that will wear on the Sparty offense that only put up 28 points in their first game at home against Furman.
Michigan State has had 2 weeks to prepair for this Notre Dame team. When you think about it how much can you prepair for a team this young? Notre Dame made vast improvements from week 1 to week 2 and they should be even better week 3. So I truly believe that the Fighting Irish will come out this week and do just that FIGHT until the end. I think they will come out on top with a win this Saturday night in primetime.
