Simply put, Jedrzejczyk might be the best female striker in MMA today; Cris Justino and Holly Holm are the only other two that could be in the conversation at this point. Between her speed, diversity of techniques and constant pressure, Jedrzejczyk overwhelms her opponents and breaks their wills.
There is a lot we don’t know about Jedrzejczyk’s grappling game, but we do know she is incredibly difficult to take down. She has a great understanding of how to utilize distance and that combined with her footwork and balance makes her a great defensive grappler.
Jedrzejczyk’s striking game is so good that she has risen to the pinnacle of the sport without ever having to put her full game on display. That speaks volume to her level on the feet. But because we don’t know what she is capable of on the ground it’s tough to assign an accurate rating.
Speed, balance, timing, strength and body control are key factors to take into consideration when evaluating athleticism and Jedrzejczyk has them all. On top of that her conditioning is out of this world. The pace she is able to establish and maintain alone makes her difficult to prepare for.
Fight IQ 9/10
There are fighters out there with all of the physical gifts and technical tools in the world that just can’t put it all together once that cage door closes. Jedrzejczyk understands what she is great at and she knows how to adjust on the fly to what her opponent is doing. She wins fights with her head as much as she does with her physical tools.
